Last Saturday, I ordered a nice big TV and a sound system for my apartment from E-Zone, a store just down the street. It comes with free delivery and installation - great! Of course, when they say “free” they mean that you have to take the entire day off of work, call the store multiple times to get numbers for the delivery trucks, call all the delivery truck drivers multiple times, and still not get your product delivered or installed until the following day because nobody has any information and everything is perpetually 10 minutes away. John is not amused.
Update: The speakers finally arrived, 3 hours late. Still waiting on the tv delivery, let alone installation. I could have walked to the store and back 15 times in that time. And… the plug on the subwoofer is a US plug. Huh? Serves me right for buying the model off the floor, even at a discount. I called and complained and they’re sending someone with a “junction box” which should solve the problem - I’m giving that a roughly 0% chance of actually happening.
Update: The TV has arrived, 4 and a half hours late. Installation guy says 1:30pm tomorrow for mounting. I’m plugging everything in tonight just to make sure it all works.
